Membership criteria
Your organisation must meet the following criteria:
- You support strengthening the voice of patients, service users, carers, their families and the voluntary organisations that work for them. You champion people being partners in the design of services, research, innovation and improvement – and you involve them in your own work.
- You are a not-for-profit organisation, established to take action for the benefit of people and communities.
- Your work has a focus on health and social care issues in England: Organisations can be national or local, large or small, and can have a wider focus than England.
- The aims, objectives and working methods of your organisation are written down in a publicly available document.
- Your organisation is properly constituted and not time limited for a particular purpose.
- Your organisation does not have an affiliation with any political parties.
- You have a commitment to equal opportunities and to tackling inequalities.
If you can answer yes to all of the above, you can become a member.
