QISMET (Quality Institute for Self Management Education and Training)

QISMET (Quality Institute for Self Management Education and Training) is an independent body created in 2008 as a result of the shared recognition of self-management provider organisations (statutory, voluntary and third sector alike) that a good quality benchmark for quality assurance is essential to secure the quality and consistency of service provision.

The organisation supports self-management providers and commissioners to achieve the highest possible quality service for people living with long-term health conditions. It does this by developing Quality Standards defining good practice and certificating providers against these Standards.
