Charlotte Augst steps down as National Voices’ CEO after three and a half years
Charlotte has been with us since March 2019. She has led the work of the organisation with energy, authenticity and heart. The results are clear for everyone to see: Our membership of nearly 200 organisations is bigger than ever, our income has more than doubled, our influence and profile have increased significantly, and our team has grown. The team get great feedback for their work, and all of them, particularly Charlotte, should be proud of what they have achieved together.
We will soon announce how we will approach recruiting a capable and committed successor to lead National Voices into its next phase of development, supporting the team, consolidating the income model and continuing to work with our members and stakeholders to have an even greater impact, focusing on both inequality and lived experience.
There will be opportunities later to properly thank Charlotte for her work, and to wish her well for her future. For now, we will continue to celebrate her and our shared success, in ensuring that what matters to people remains front and centre in the health and care system.
Helen Buckingham, Chair of National Voices says:
Wherever I go, stakeholders in the sector praise the impact and commitment of the whole National Voices team. They are often surprised to learn how small an organisation we run. This is testament to Charlotte’s leadership and hard work. And we are grateful.
Charlotte Augst, CEO of National Voices says:
It has been an absolute privilege to steward our network of committed, creative, collaborative members and partners who work tirelessly to make a difference for the communities they serve. There was much to do, but it was also a lot of fun. I am so grateful for all the help partners and members have given us, and me personally, and to the Board for their consistent challenge and support. I will take a break after leaving National Voices, and will consider what next in the new year.
