Consultation response: Civil society strategy

Our main points:

• The government should engage in quality co-design and co-production with the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector as part of its strategy to decide policy priorities.
• 68% of UK health charities are either small or micro in size. The Civil Society Strategy needs to recognise that engaging with organisations of different sizes needs to happen in different ways.
• The funding model should be rebalanced towards partnership funding approaches rather than competitive tendering.
