Shared statement marking the second anniversary of the first UK COVID-19 lockdown

23 March 2022 marks the second anniversary of the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK. Two years on, the government have just launched their ‘Living with Covid’ plan which involves lifting most of the protective measures put in place to help keep the virus from spreading.

This shared statement has been signed by 71 organisations including National Voices and Healthwatch England. Through working with and listening to our 190 members and the communities they support, we have identified four key priorities that now need to be addressed.

These are:

  • Mental health

  • Inequalities
