Kalu Obuka
His previous roles have spanned the NHS, as well as charity and private sector organisations in the US, UK, India, and Japan.
A golden thread throughout his career has been facilitating relationships between groups with different views and cultures, and promoting an understanding of the human experiences of delivering and receiving services.
He seeks to amplify the voices of people who are excluded or easily ignored. His commitment is driven by his Lived Experience as a young carer for his mother. Although her health has since improved, Kalu and his siblings still support her to navigate a health and care system that isn’t always able to listen to her or meet her needs.
